THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS - COVERAGE, NOT PERFECTION
The Breastplate of Righteousness is not about moral performance. It is about alignment with the character and will of God.
In this teaching, we dismantle the modern misconception that righteousness is self-defined morality or behavior management. Biblical righteousness is not rooted in personal opinion, cultural preference, or emotional justification. It is rooted in God’s holiness.
We examine:
• The difference between earned righteousness and imputed righteousness
• Why righteousness is coverage, not perfection
• How the breastplate guarded vital organs in Roman military context
• The heart as internal governance, not mere emotion
• The relationship between righteousness and spiritual warfare
• The danger of self-righteousness as counterfeit armor
• What it practically means to “put on” righteousness daily
If the heart governs life, and righteousness guards the heart, then this piece of armor is not optional.
Alignment protects trajectory.
Coverage preserves governance.
And in spiritual warfare, alignment is survival.
