AUTHORITY COMES FROM ALIGNMENT, NOT POSITION
In this teaching from Series 4: Authority, Obedience & Discipline, we establish a foundational principle many believers misunderstand:
Authority does not come from position. It comes from alignment.
Scripture presents authority as delegated jurisdiction, not personality, volume, or intimidation. Titles may grant placement, but they do not guarantee legitimate authority. True authority flows from alignment with divine order.
This teaching examines how authority functions biblically and why internal governance must precede external influence.
Inside this teaching, we explore:
• The biblical meaning of authority as delegated jurisdiction
• Why position does not automatically grant legitimate authority
• Alignment as the prerequisite for authorization
• Restraint as the evidence of internal governance
• Why authority without submission becomes misuse of power
When alignment is absent, authority becomes forced.
When alignment is present, authority carries weight without noise.
This teaching establishes the structural foundation for understanding authority within God’s order and prepares the ground for the next discussion in this series.
